New Orleans ...Remembering Anne Rice

 

New Orleans has been a place that I have always wanted to visit. It has a lot of culture, wonderful jazz music and Cajun food. It also has great authors like Anne Rice. I found out that she recently passed away and was sadden by the news. Anne was a catalyst to my love (some would say obsession) with vampires. Growing up, I have always had an interest in the paranormal but when I read Interview with a Vampire, I was completely enamoured. She went on to write more than 20 books in her Vampire Chronicles and I would buy and devour them all. Anne cultivated my love for the paranormal genre as I have branched out reading other authors such as J.R. Ward, Theresa Gableman, Laurell K Hamilton and Kym Grosso. The paranormal genre has lost a great author, I will miss her.
